"When I took on the role of Conference Director for A/E/C SYSTEMS back in 1993, one of the first things I did was to evaluate the speakers and sessions from past shows. Dr. Kaiman Lee's name kept popping up, whether I was looking at the best attended session, most highly rated session, or most valued and respected speaker. I decided that this was one speaker I was going to have to experience myself. Over the next few months I listened to recordings of many of his previous lectures while driving between my office in Bethesda and A/E/C SYSTEMS' office in Exton. Tapes of many lectures can be quite boring. Not Dr. Lee's. His presentation style was animated and enthusiastic. He consistently drew on the attendee's own situations to make his points hit home. And the concepts and ideas behind his lectures were well thought out and well organized. This was my first introduction to Dr. Lee. Since those first days, I always made sure that I have Dr. Lee on the program of events. When I attended his lectures in person, I learned that he is even more effective, likeable, and informative than my high expectations had prepared me for. When I had the good fortune to be able to name the speaker I wanted to share the podium with me on a special program in Singapore, Dr. Lee was the one person I invited.
----- W. Bradley Holtz: former conference director, A/E/C SYSTEMS Editor and Publisher, The CAD Rating Guide Editor and Publisher, The Extranet Rating Guide Publisher, Engineering Automation Report Chairman, The CAD Society Managing Director, COFES: The Congress on the Future of Engineering Software Managing Partner, Cyon Research LLC President, WBH Associates President and Principal Consultant.
"I heard you speak at McCormick Place on 11/9 (1999) it was the best! I'm an IT consultant in the middle of a Strategy Planning engagement so everything you said was very useful information for me.
----- Bill Sciortino
"... thank you for your time in preparing and delivering that excellent presentation ... the quality of your presentation and the obvious time and care that went into preparing it were apparent and much appreciated ... might I entice you to do this again ..."
----- Jeffrey M. Hamer, President/CEO, The Computer-Aided Design Group, Marina del Rey, California, USA
"Thank you for the excellent, thought provoking program that you presented to our Chapter Tuesday evening. I didn't realize that it was after 9 p.m. until you pointed it out at the end of your presentation. Judging from the other's reactions, I don't think that I was the only one. I judge a program by two elements, the topic and the presentation. The topic should be pertinent to those attending. The speaker's presentation should hold the attention of his/her audience. I rate you excellent on both points. Your program on future technology is pertinent to each of us. Your dynamic presentation obviously held the attention of your audience. Looking around the room near the end of your presentation, it did not appear that anyone left. Even after you noted the time, everyone stayed to listen to your final comments. Just as Dave Thomas did for me, I would not hesitate to recommend you should anyone inquire. Again, thank you for not only accepting my invitation to speak to the Chapter, but for graciously doing so on such short notice."
----- Ray Leffner, Director of Construction Specifications Institute Speakers' Program
